The Jewellers Academy is the first of its kind in the UK to specialize in the repairs and restorations in the jewellery trade while offering courses on all other allied trades. We offer a wide variety of courses relevant to the jewellery trade such as CAD design, Watchmaking, Clock making, Jewellery Repairs, Engraving, Diamond Grading, Stone Setting, PMC Clay, Valuations, Customer Service, Retail Law, Bookkeeping, Accounting and many more facets to give our trainees the opportunity to set their sights higher and open the doors to greater opportunities in the jewellery industry. Our modern workshop in Bridlington covers three floors under the same roof. All tools and equipment will be supplied for the courses- just bring yourself. We have lockers in our lounge room to store your personal belongings while you are in the workshop.
The Jewellers Academy's modules are designed to cover all skill levels, whether a trainee is interested to upskill or learn a new trade we at the Academy can provide this learning, bespoke to each trainee. We will assess each trainees current level and design a course suitable to their needs. Optional practical and theory exams will be offered on each module, should the trainee wish to partake, upon completion they will receive an Academy certificate.
The watchmaking modules cover all aspects of watch repair from the everyday basic repair/adjustment to the more complicated watch services as well as balance staff turning. We at the Academy can taylor a course to suit each trainee after an assessment is completed.

Our State-of-the-art purpose built workshop includes CAD Design Software, a subject specialist library, seminar and lecture rooms, areas specifically dedicated to horology and gemmology, jewellery benches each supporting a micro weld torch and other bench mounted power equipment. There are separate areas for cleaning facilities, electro-plating, polishing room and tool and material storage area.
We aim to improve the quality and standards of repair work carried out in the jewellery trade whether it be through a trades person or retail staff. We will do this by upskilling our trainees whether they are jewellers or watchmakers to a higher standard.
We offer a choice of bespoke course to suit your needs. Any of our courses can be done seven days a week to suit your schedule. Our aim is to give everyone the opportunity to learn a jewellery sector of their choice and adapt the course so you can maintain your current employment while learning.
We currently offer:
• One day a week courses for forty weeks
• Three day short courses on specific subjects
You’ll have the chance to gain industry experience through projects, guest lectures and theory study. We offer you the option to use the Academy's equipment and technical advice to complete your own work for three hours a day giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn.
