This revised module is designed specifically for the jobbing jeweller, focusing on the everyday setting and retipping tasks commonly encountered in contemporary jewellery shops. The course encompasses a comprehensive array of essential bench skills pertinent to today’s modern workshop. Given the significance of stone setting within the trade, the course structure reflects this importance. We have integrated Level 1 and Level 2 skill sets to enhance cost efficiency, resulting in our longest short course at the Academy, spanning four days. Feedback from previous applicants indicates a strong preference for this duration.

All setting courses up to Level 6 will be conducted without the use of microscopes, as the training provided until this level concentrates on conventional methods required by jobbing jewellers.
