CLAW & RE-TIPPING COURSE

THREE DAY COURSE

Claw & Re-tipping Course Overview

This concise module has been developed in response to persistent requests, allowing us to meet the demand for specialised training.

While our Academy offers stone-setting courses at various levels, many jobbing jewellers are primarily interested in becoming proficient in retipping and re-clawing, which significantly differs from standard stone setting. Mastering the art of clawing and retipping multiple claws requires skill, patience, and expertise. The course encompasses a range of topics, including gemstone tolerances, burr knowledge, pendant drill control, essential specialist tools, finishing wheels and brushes, polishing compounds, and techniques involving acid baths.
