Congratulations To The Jewellers Acadmy Class A Of 2023 On Their Graduation
Congratulations to Class A of 2023 for graduating on 15/12/23 . Class A is the group that we have focused on with respect of social media posts observing their development over the 40 week course, which, has been outstanding, in fact remarkable at the bench skills that they have acquired which shows clearly that the Swiss style of teaching that the Jewellers Academy have altered & adapted, develops the trainee in depth within a shorter period of time while maintaining high standards, much more than our expectations.
The Trainee of the year Award was up for grabs and is presented to the most developed trainee over the longer 40 week courses, the winner receives £1500 worth of tools and equipment of their choice.
Both Class A & Class B were up for the award but it was unanimously agreed that for this year it would be shared between Sophia White, Scarborough and Josef Tumini, Manchester both of Class A. Each trainee was assessed and coupled with their finals results and periodic bench test results throughout the year they finished joint winners. The Jewellers Academy announced that due to a commercially successful year, the award monies would be raised to £2000 and split evenly between the two winners for tools and equipment to give them a start in their new career. We congratulate both of them for their hard work and passion to become better!
Some of the new trainees were invited to the Graduation as their induction day as well as to meet the graduating trainees. With a record number of applicants this year interviews were conducted over a period of 10 days to make the selection. For those who were unsuccessful please watch for our announcements in early Jan 24 for the relisted, updated short courses.
We have recruited more instructors so as to deliver these short courses more regular in greater numbers using both workshops. Our intention will be to announce fixed dates for the popular courses as well as randomly deliver oversubscribed classes, so watch this space!
