25 Years of Experience. A New Generation of Training.
A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS THIS FRIDAY!
Friday 30 October 2026 | 1:30 PM (UK Time)
After years of development, testing and investment, The Jewellers Academy Yorkshire is preparing to introduce its most ambitious expansion yet — a new generation of interactive, live-streamed commercial jewellery training, available to students and professionals across the globe.
And we would like you to be part of the beginning.
This Friday, we will open our doors virtually with a FREE live broadcast from our Yorkshire training facility, offering an insight into the Academy, the people behind it and our vision for the future of professional jewellery training.
An Invitation from Our Founder
During the broadcast, our founder, Derek Boyd, will take viewers on a journey through the Academy's development, reflecting on 25 years of building a specialist training business, the changing needs of the jewellery industry and the importance of preserving traditional craftsmanship.
He will explain why the Academy has invested so heavily in developing an entirely new approach to online training, combining the experience of a working classroom with modern broadcasting technology. With over 25 cameras installed throughout our facility, our ambition is simple: to bring the viewer as close as possible to the experience of actually being in the classroom.
We believe this immersive, interactive approach has the potential to challenge the conventional blueprint of online jewellery training.
What Else Is Happening During Friday's Broadcast?
Following the founder's presentation, we will celebrate the achievements of a small group of our Class of 2026 graduates, who will be presented with their course certificates. We also hope to welcome contributions from industry leaders joining us remotely, bringing additional insight and perspectives from across the jewellery trade.
It promises to be an interesting, informative occasion, combining industry knowledge, professional training and recognition of the next generation of skilled craftspeople.
